Firenze Rooms Cathedral

Excellent location, just steps from the Florence Cathedral and close to a covered parking lot. Welcoming hotel, clean and well-appointed rooms. The only flaw is the bathroom doesn't have a window. Highly recommended. The staff isn't on-site but is very helpful by phone. Free Wi-Fi.

The location was excellent, super central, and the rooms were nice. We booked and PAID for a triple room, but were given a standard double, even though it wasn't what we'd paid for. We asked for clarification and were told the room we'd been given was a triple "because a bed could be added," but the room was small, so it wasn't possible to add another bed. Furthermore, the air conditioning was located low down, in a small "living room," so it barely heated the room where the double bed was located. The curtains were practically transparent, so you could see everything outside, unless you closed the curtain separating the living room and the bed. In that case, the air conditioning wouldn't work, and the heat wouldn't reach the room; the room was always cold. The bidet water was freezing because there was no hot water at all. We asked the staff for help, but instead of finding a solution, they arrogantly told us, "THERE'S NO HOT WATER, IT'S COLD, BUT AT LEAST THERE IS." I don't think it's normal to pay a fortune and not even find the room you paid for, and not even get hot water because there's none. We're in Florence, and January is freezing. The hair dryer doesn't work because it was broken, but luckily we replaced it the next day. If you want basic comforts—clean rooms, hot water, a room furnished with the necessary accessories, heating, and privacy so no one can peek through the windows—DO NOT CHOOSE this B&B. It's only worthwhile for its location.

Terrible experience. The room had no heating, the window was broken (unfortunately, we didn't ask), and the blankets on the bed were thin... plus, the bed had four broken slats at hip height... It was a struggle to get through the night, both because of the uncomfortable bed and the cold; we used our coats to warm up. The only positive thing was the central location.
