Double room with shower/toilet We stayed there for two nights. The rooms were pleasantly large and, unlike other hotels, practically furnished. The bathroom was also very spacious, but quite dated. Some of the tiles were broken, and the grout was showing its age. However, it was still clean. The only thing that really bothered us was the very filthy shower curtain. I had a hard time not sticking to it. Perhaps they'll put up a new one soon. Otherwise, it was okay for two nights. I was actually looking forward to breakfast, as I can't eat dairy products, pork, or wheat. On this trip, despite breakfast being included, I more or less provided for myself and had hoped to be able to eat my fill of good fish there. But that wasn't the case. The shop where you used to be able to buy fish yourself was no longer there, and at breakfast, there were only closed tubs of fish. Unacceptable. The buffet wasn't always well-stocked either. We had the impression it depended on whoever was serving it. I was disappointed. Dinner was very good. There's something else I should mention. Upon our arrival, the whole place smelled extremely strongly of fish waste. It was really unpleasant, and I thought I couldn't stand it there. We thought it was coming from the harbor. During an evening stroll, we then discovered that there's a fish waste processing plant at the edge of the village. This smell probably carried into the village depending on the wind direction. But that has nothing to do with the hotel, and it wasn't always like that. Just wanted to explain in case anyone else has a similar experience. Visited July 2025

The Fisherman Guesthouse is a superb place to stay, seemingly at the end of the world. We were treated like royalty by our host and cook. The breakfast buffet had everything: freshly prepared eggs with bacon, Icelandic smoked salmon, homemade tuna salad, cold cuts, cheese, and jam, along with fresh, warm bread and rolls. Coffee, juices, and tea were also available. Everything was there! We were upgraded to a room with a private bathroom. The bed linens and mattresses were top-notch. Very clean and cozy. We would definitely stay again. A real hidden gem! 👍
