Upon arrival, we checked in and received our key, but there wasn't much explanation (what time dinner and breakfast were, etc.). A foldaway bed for a third person wasn't of very good quality. After checking in, we found a shortage of towels, which we received promptly after asking. The room and bathroom were clean but definitely in need of replacement. The staff, while friendly, were very busy (understaffed). In the evening, the hotel was very noisy (from upstairs neighbors stomping, and the creaking stairs were also noisy). Doors had to be slammed shut to close them (not good for a good night's sleep). Housekeeping arrived early in the morning, and you could clearly hear them (loud voices, slamming doors, and stomping in the hallway). The sewer drain next to the room and the water pipes from other rooms were noisy. Dinner was good (portions were small), and breakfast was also good, with plenty of choices but poorly replenished.

What a terrible, noisy hotel! Being woken up by upstairs neighbors getting up to use the bathroom. The receptionist didn't want to explain anything to us, let alone explain how everything worked. The food was good! Although the times weren't clearly explained to us. A tip to thoroughly renovate the hotel wouldn't hurt! And a course for the reception staff is definitely needed! Even the people who work in the restaurant could really use a course in customer service. We'll definitely be back for Valkenburg itself!

We were allocated room 210 for two people. It was a 4x4 room with a queen-size bed. Several items in the room were damaged. Not what we're used to from Fletcher. We ended up paying €50 more for a "suite" in another nearby Fletcher hotel.
