Fletcher Hotel Rotterdam-Airport

Good experience for me!! Hotel well located. Service provided was adequate.

At side of the airport used it for my flight the next day just like a premier inn in the uk

Firstly: poor hygiene. The room was quite dusty and the bed wasn't properly made (the mattress cover kept coming loose at the top, revealing the age and dirtiness of the mattresses themselves). We were in a wheelchair-accessible room. It also didn't have a shower curtain (which is usually present in such rooms, but now you have to shiver in such a large bathroom to shower) and instead of a shower chair built into the wall, there was a separate shower chair (which wasn't very large, so if you're a heavier person, I don't think you'll fit comfortably). This chair wasn't wheelchair-accessible either (it had armrests on both sides and a backrest, so you can't easily sit on it from a wheelchair) and was extremely dirty (brown residue, mold-like, yuck!), so showering was definitely not an option. Furthermore, the room was missing a kettle and a coffee maker. You'd think this would have been noticed when the room was being prepared (the tea bags had been replenished), but apparently not. So I went to reception, stood in line, and there were no extra kettles. So I was sent to the other side, but they wouldn't let me use one. Back to the original reception desk, waited again, and they walked me to another unoccupied room to get one. There wasn't a kettle there either, but there was a coffee machine, so I was given one (without the pods that come with it). I flushed the one in the hotel room several times to finally create at least some hot water (by running it without a pod, it produces semi-hot water) and used that as a kettle. The receptionist said she'd be back with a kettle, but she never did. Breakfast is across the street at the 4-star hotel and was very tasty, but there were very few options for the yogurt (only two kinds of cereal – a cruslie and something with flaxseed – and no cereal or anything like that), and unfortunately, the waffles were out. However, the cinnamon bread is delicious, as are the boiled eggs and (when they were fresh) the pancakes. The selection (apart from the yogurt toppings) was very wide. So, one star for the breakfast and one star for the receptionist with her beautiful long black braid, who chatted with me very pleasantly (though somewhat unprofessionally, but I don't mind that much) and did her best to get me something so I could have hot water. All in all, not recommended; I'd rather try the 4-star hotel across the street. They have the same breakfast. And hopefully, they have a kettle and better hygiene.
