Fortuna Hotel

It's clean and nice. It's a bit far from the city center, but it's right on the beach, so the view is nice.

The parking lot is small, but everyone parks out front. The breakfast is quite good. The ocean view is great. Going up to the rooftop for a beer is the best.

1. Tongyeong Central Market is only a 10-minute bus ride from the hotel. Use the bus stop in front of Top Mart next to the hotel. Most buses go to Tongyeong Central Market, which was convenient. We also parked at the hotel and traveled around Tongyeong by public transportation. Parking was convenient, and if there weren't enough spaces, there was a paid street parking lot across the hotel. 2. The room was large enough for two people. The bathroom was also spacious enough for use. The sink faucet wasn't fixed, which was inconvenient. We informed the staff at checkout that it needed repairs for the next guest. It would have been helpful if they had checked the condition of the facilities in advance. The water pressure wasn't strong, but it was usable. 3. There was no separate air conditioner remote control; we had to use the air conditioner control switch on the wall. The air conditioner would turn off when it reached a certain temperature and then turn back on when it fell below a certain temperature. The air conditioner couldn't be adjusted to a strong or weak setting, so when it was on, it blew a strong breeze, and when it shut off, I had to endure the tropical heat until it restarted. While it wasn't uncomfortable during the day, sleeping forced me to endure alternating heat and cold. Furthermore, the air conditioner's vents were pointed directly toward the person in bed, which was quite uncomfortable. 4. A large supermarket, Top Mart, is located directly behind the hotel, and a GS25 is about 20 meters to the left of the hotel, which was convenient. The well-maintained promenade in front of the hotel along the ocean made for a pleasant evening stroll along the Tongyeong night sea. 5. The staff weren't friendly. They seemed to be focused solely on their own business. During my three days at the hotel, I passed by the hotel reception many times for travel, convenience store visits, and walks, but not a single receptionist greeted me. In fact, they would turn away if they made eye contact, which was a disappointing sight. The attitude of the reception staff is crucial to a hotel's first impression and its overall quality. 6. The bathroom is separated from the guest room by an opaque film, but the view isn't completely clear, so please consider this when choosing a room. Furthermore, the City View room faces the Top Mart parking lot, which is constantly busy with customers until the Top Mart closes. Therefore, if privacy is a priority, we recommend choosing a sea view room. Whether it's a hotel, a restaurant, or a cafe, the first priority for travelers' satisfaction is the friendliness of the staff. If friendliness is paramount, even minor inconveniences will likely be tolerated. We hope to become the best hotel in Tongyeong and invite you back.
