FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel

Centrally located, but way overpriced and poor service. Upon arrival we walked into a dirty room and the room was never cleaned over our 3 nights and 4 days. We paid for a deluxe king with balcony, but were put on the first floor, so we didn’t get to enjoy the weather at all during our stay. We requested a different room, but we were told “no” without explanation. When we complained the first day about not having our room serviced, we were told it would be remedied immediately. That said, today is our last day here and our room has not been cleaned, ever. I’ve never written a negative review before, but after paying $1500 for three nights, this hotel couldn’t even clean our room. On a positive note, I loved the highlighting of local artists and that would be the only reason I would ever come back. I have also seen at least four vehicles with boots on them for parking in the lot without paying. They will literally hide in the parking lot engaging predatory parking enforcement. Do NOT park in the lot, even to check-in before paying, or your vehicle will be booted

I've stayed at Found:Re Phoenix five times now—and I've finally collected enough receipts (literal and emotional) to write the review this place truly deserves. I don't usually bother reviewing hotels. But some relationships are toxic enough to warrant public therapy. I live in Northern Arizona and visit Phoenix frequently for concerts. Found:Re lured me in like a siren with its rooms. It’s a modern-industrial vibe that's equal parts cool loft and intentional chaos. The dual-faucet sink in the shower is perfect for an ideal shave. Rotating art installations that make you feel cultured just by sleeping there. A solid restaurant downstairs. A modest pool that blasts music late when your room is right next to it. It's quirky, it's stylish, it's Instagram-bait. And somehow, I've kept coming back like a moth to a very expensive, very smug flame. The fatal flaw? The front desk staff. Across multiple stays and multiple shifts, I've met most of them, and the collective energy is superiority smug. Smugness so thick you could spread it on toast. Basic courtesy? Helpfulness? Apparently it’s against company policy. Every interaction feels like you're interrupting their very important task of looking bored and slightly annoyed that you exist. It's almost performance art at this point. What finally pushed me over the edge on stay #5? The parking. The lot behind the hotel is your standard urban concrete rectangle, but it's run by a third-party tag-team: one company to fleece you via QR code, another to boot your car. You scan, you pay, you pray. Sometimes it works. Sometimes your card gets charged anyway, but the system forgets to log it, and boom—Surprise! Now you're late for whatever brought you to Phoenix because there’s a boot on your wheel. You limp back to the front desk for help, right? Wrong. The staff's response is basically, "Not our circus, not our monkeys." Why would they care? Compassion isn't in the job description here—it's probably listed under "optional skills" right after "smirk convincingly.” So here's the verdict: Found:Re has incredible bones. Stunning rooms, fun art, great location for downtown vibes. But the front desk treats guests like we're auditioning for the role of "inconvenient annoyance." It's like dating someone gorgeous who constantly reminds you they're out of your league. I keep coming back because the rooms seduce me. But next maybe next time I'll just admire from afar. Or find a hotel where the staff doesn't make me feel like I'm begging for scraps of basic human decency. If you're into industrial chic and can handle a side of attitude, go for it. Just pay for parking twice, bring your own smile, and lower your expectations at check-in.

Food is delicious, rooms are nice but thin walls
