Four Points by Sheraton Newark Christiana Wilmington

Very nice staff and clean hotel. Pricing at the bar very reasonable!

The staff was extremely accommodating when my initial rooms ac/heater wasn't working and moved us to another one without hesitation.

Unfortunately, during our stay at the Four Points Hotel in Newark Delaware , our black cat somehow escaped from our room and so far we have been unable to find her. We are not sure where she could have went as we were on the fourth floor and cats usually cannot open doors and ride elevators but we’ve checked everywhere in our hotel room, and in as many of the rooms, hallways, stairwells, and general areas accessible to us in the building and outside. Each time we asked for help from the staff, they deferred us to the general manager, Michelle, who evaded our request for any sort of call back despite speaking with four different subordinate staff members. The Lower staff members were as helpful as they could be - but the assistance we really needed was from the manager, and she was extremely, and possibly purposefully, elusive. During our search we found Michelle in a closed conference room taking a personal call for hours, well after we sent messages for her to speak with us. She told us to wait and continued with the call, after which when we left, she still did not call us back. From around 9:15 pm 12/25/25 when we first sought help from staff to 1:30 pm 12/26/25, we were unable to at all speak with her about our issue, despite her being in the building, on the clock, for hours prior. We did request footage to see where our cat may have gone so that we could be sure where to look for her. We were told that only corporate can look at hotel footage and that it was not an urgent enough issue for them to ask for it. We think it is of extreme incompetence that the Marriott hotel chain would allow a cat to possibly be roaming the hotel without taking the upmost measures to find it. We have reason to believe our cat is still in the building and although the cat is friendly and has up to date vaccines, she could be hiding in the kitchens (which is very unsanitary) or accidentally interacting with other hotel guests who may be allergic to cats. This along with the the fact that the response from upper management was extremely disappointing and unhelpful has solidified our opinion that the Marriott is not a hotel chain that we can stay with for a good travel experience, especially with pets, and this an opinion which we will make sure is shared with as many people as possible, both online and in person to warn them away. Staff member Josiah was great but Manager Michelle was horrible. This hotel is not pet friendly if they do not care about the well being and whereabouts of your pets.
