Whenever I went to Madrid, I had three options: - Rosewood Villa Magna. - Mandarin Oriental Ritz. - The Palace. A few days ago, I decided to try the Four Seasons, which everyone talks about (well, more accurately: almost everyone talks about...). I was hesitant, since they already know me very well at my favorite hotels; and because (like almost everyone else) I find it hard to change (especially when things are going well, or, as in this case, extremely well). But I decided to take a chance. And I'm glad I made that decision (and, therefore, I'm very happy with myself for forcing myself to adapt; for forcing myself to take risks). Why? Because I was able to see firsthand that it's a splendid hotel: - Prime location. - Highly professional service: out of 10, the staff is an 11. To name a few: Daniel in room service; Adrien Pasquier: I would have taken him home with me... Even the cleaning and security staff: a young man—balding—from the ISS company: super professional, funny, and friendly; the security lady (Sheila?)... - International and cosmopolitan atmosphere; elegant, fresh, and energetic decor. Highlights: • The incredible amount of artwork they've amassed: I think around 1,500 pieces (!!!). A treasure in itself. • And, especially, the lobby, where you'll find the sculpture "Along the Way" (2013 – From the "Companion" series – Ash wood – 618 kg – 2.5 m high), by KAWS (pseudonym of Brian Donnelly [Jersey City, New Jersey, USA – born in 1974]). We actually have a piece by the same artist at home, so I felt right at home. I'll definitely be back: now I have four options! Thank you! Congratulations! See you soon!
