Fujairah Rotana Resort and Spa

We booked the Premium Suite Ocean Front Balcony for the UAE National Day long weekend and added the Ultra All Inclusive package. Total cost was AED 5,850 for 2 nights. We’ve stayed at several all-inclusive resorts in Ras Al Khaimah, so that was our benchmark. Unfortunately, the experience at Rotana Fujairah didn’t match that level. The Room, View & In-Room Dining The room was genuinely the highlight — spacious, clean, and with a beautiful oceanfront view. In-room dining was also decent and created a good first impression. Restaurant Access & Communication Issues We emailed in advance to book Waves Restaurant but never received a reply. On arrival, Day 1 was fully booked, and we were only able to secure a booking for Day 2. Given this was an Ultra All Inclusive package, we should’ve had the opportunity to dine at the restaurant of our choice rather than defaulting to the mass buffet. Clearer communication and better coordination would have helped. Inconsistent Beverage Availability On Day 1, Stella — listed on the Ultra All Inclusive menu — was not available at Sharkey’s. On Day 2, there was no draught beer when we arrived, and it took around 45 minutes for staff to arrange it. Seating Experience at Waves At Waves on Day 2, we were initially given the least desirable table. Many sea-facing cabanas appeared “reserved,” and based on what we observed — the guests seated there did not have all-inclusive bands and were paying their bills upon leaving — it seemed those tables were being prioritised for guests who were paying separately and generating additional billing for the resort. This was purely our observation. After raising the concern, we were moved to a slightly better cabana table. So - you can have the best room in the property with an ultra all inclusive package, but still get to have a half-decent dinner experience. Entertainment & Paid Add-Ons Evening entertainment was held in a separate outdoor venue offering a grill buffet at an additional charge. We would have considered booking it, but no one informed us about it. When we asked, we were told it needed to be booked a week in advance and was not included in the Ultra All Inclusive package. Ultra All Inclusive Cutoff Time Bar Muda stays open until 1am, but Ultra All Inclusive access ends at 12am. This mismatch felt unnecessary and counterintuitive for a premium all-inclusive package. Bottom Line While the room, the view, and the in-room dining were good, the service inconsistencies, communication lapses, and coordination issues overshadowed those positives. For the price paid, the Ultra All Inclusive package didn’t deliver the value or smooth experience we expected.
