For better or worse, this hotel was worth the price. The amenities were basic, and my single room wasn't too small or too spacious. Concerns: ⚠️ ① I stayed in late November, and it took about a minute for the shower to heat up. ② I was in room 208, but the view outside was obscured by the wall of the neighboring building. ③ The TV, which was compatible with YouTube and Amazon Prime, never connected. The room felt a bit dated, but I had no complaints. ✨ The system required you to leave your key at the front desk when you went out. I walked around around 11 PM, and found lots of small izakayas and snack bars. However, they all seemed to be crowded with regulars, so it might be intimidating for first-time visitors. 💦 There was a Family Mart right next to the nearest station, Futsukaichi Station, and a Lawson about a five-minute walk away (in the opposite direction from the hotel). There are no family restaurants or fast food joints. 💀 It's a small station and off a major road, so you won't have to worry about noise outside keeping you up at night. 🎵

During the three-day weekend in November, even if there were rooms available near Hakata Station, they would cost around 50,000 yen per night. The one that was available was the Futsukaichi Green Hotel, at a reasonable price of 8,000 yen per night. While it's a little far from Hakata Station, where I had business, I could see it from the stairs leading to Futsukaichi Station, and it was really close to the station. I was worried about the air drying out from the heating, but there was a humidifier in the room, so I was able to sleep without worrying about my throat. I think this hotel is worth more than the price.

It's fine if you just want to sleep. It's a shame to come here as a tourist. The surrounding area is dark, so I recommend finishing eating and drinking before coming. If you want to experience the Showa era, this is the place to go! The price is a bit high for what you get. Be careful if you're coming by car! Once you make a reservation, call the hotel directly for more details.
