I spent weeks obsessing over every detail online because I’m a total clean freak with high standards, and I was dead-set on finding a sea view and a balcony that didn’t cost a fortune. I’m telling you right now: The Galley Hotel is the hidden gem that made my trip. Look, it’s not trying to be the Ritz, and thank goodness for that. It’s better because it’s authentic, reliable, warm, and it feels like a real home away from home. I stayed here for over two weeks, so I can tell you from experience: it’s clean, it does exactly what you need it to do—perfectly—and it gives you the view you actually paid for. The service started the second I booked on Expedia. They reached out immediately to help me arrange airport transfers at fair prices, which took every bit of stress off my arrival. As a Muslim woman traveling solo, safety was my #1 non-negotiable, and I felt 100% safe and respected here from the moment I arrived. I’ve stayed in plenty of places, but his level of professionalism and the way he genuinely looks out for guests is on another level. He handled everything with such care and made sure I was settled and taken care of every single day. He’s the reason this stay went from "good" to "unforgettable." They were also incredibly generous in letting me use their communal kitchen whenever I needed, which made a huge difference during my two-week stay. Keeping it 100% real: Nothing is perfect. The room was spotless (and I’m a total clean freak, so that’s saying a lot!), but the Metro train is right outside. I’m a prepared traveler, so my noise-canceling headphones were a lifesaver. If you’re a light sleeper, something to consider, but this is the sea view room we are talking about. I dont think there is a traffic noise issue in other rooms. Also, save your money and use the local laundromat nearby—it’s easier and way cheaper than hotel laundry. The most important part: The neighborhood cats. They are your neighbors, they are iconic, and they are so precious. Please, please, PLEASE buy some food and feed them. It was easily one of the highlights of my trip. It’s a 15-minute walk to the Blue Mosque, the view is everything, and the staff actually cares. Don't overthink it. Just book it and thank me later!

The people in Hotel Galley are very friendly and helpful. The location is also great, the streets on the outside look a bit dodgy but it is safe outside and inside. Breakfast was also nice.
