Incredible that it is possible to provide a simple and good bedroom including breakfast - and in addition transport to the airport - for such a low price. Very friendly and service-minded staff. Is there a tourist-friendly idealist behind the concept?

Bad Experience at Gardermoen Hotel Bed & Breakfast (Feb 14-15, 2026) I booked a 1-night stay for February 14-15 through a hotel booking service. Before arriving, I contacted them via WhatsApp about transport from Oslo Airport to the hotel. They offered a pickup service, so I requested it and confirmed—just write after arrivals, they said. I thanked them and followed up with a reminder on the morning of my flight. They replied: no problem, just message after landing, and we’ll pick you up with your luggage. After arriving at Oslo Airport, I messaged them immediately—no response. I called multiple times over 30 minutes before they finally answered: “We’ll pick you up soon.” I waited, but no one came. I called again repeatedly with no answer. Eventually, they picked up and said their car had no battery, but they’d send a friend. I waited a long time—still no one. Frustrated, I took a taxi to the hotel. At the hotel around 15 minutes wait—no reception. The receptionist finally arrived with drunk customers in their service car. I explained the pickup issues; he said, “Talk to the boss tomorrow before you leave.” I went to sleep. The next morning, no one was at reception except an old man who said, “I’m the boss.” I explained everything. He asked where I’m from; I said Turkey. He then insulted my religion, nationality, and president—I was shocked and didn’t know what to say. He told me to wait for someone to take the key, then left. I waited; finally, another man came. I explained again; he said the old man is his boss, apologizes, and it’s not the first time he’s done this. This was a terrible experience—no reliable pickup, no proper reception, rude and discriminatory treatment.
