The location is perfect; right in the center of Rome, you can easily reach everything! However, the lights in our room didn't work at first, and even though you should be able to control the temperature, the rooms are always warm.

Cons: The hostel is a bit greedy. They charge for everything: locks, towels, slippers, and washing machine. The hairdryer was broken. The location is a bit dangerous, and there was someone in the room who snored like a log. Pros: The location is close to the Colosseum and transportation, the staff was helpful, access was secure, and the room seemed clean.

I stayed here in a single room, not the hostel part. The room was very small, but had a nice layout with everything needed. I found the room to be very clean and well maintained for the most part. The bed was comfortable. The shower was extremely small but had nice hot water. The room key card needs to be inserted into a slot to get power in the room, which I thought was interesting and slightly annoying at times. Biggest issue with the room is that I was unable to adjust the temperature as it automatically stayed at 69F. This led me to open the single window, which led to mosquitos entering the room and biting me. Another huge issue with the room is that there is virtually no sound proofing. I could hear almost everything that happened in the hallway and in the neighboring rooms. If you plan to sleep in, good luck. You'll be awaken by either construction noises outside or the cleaning lady doing her thing. Definitely bring some good earplugs to sleep with. Aside from that the experience was decent. There is a bar/restaurant downstairs which I did not try, it was always empty when I went down. People did not seem too social here. The neighborhood seems pretty rough around the edges. It's mainly composed of Asian and African migrants. There's graffiti all over the neighborhood. The A train is about a block away. 7 minute walk to Termini station and about a 20 minute walk to the colosseum. Overall I'd recommend this place to budget conscious travelors that aren't too picky nor afraid of a sketchy neighborhood.
