Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this accommodation. After a long and tiring train journey, I arrived in Giessen at night and, despite having a booking confirmation and PIN code, was unable to access the apartment. The description of the key box was misleading – there were two different boxes, and the one indicated was inaccessible. I was left stranded in the middle of the night in a storm without accommodation and ultimately had to take a taxi to Frankfurt for €170. Contacting the property was impossible – no one was reachable, and the following day, there was absolutely no understanding. No refund, no apology. Very disappointing and unfriendly.

0 POINTS! RIP-OFF, FRAUD, CHEEKY! Attention to anyone who wants to book here! Heavy smoke upon entry, even though we booked a non-smoking room. Ash and burns in the window frame – absolutely disgusting. After calling immediately, the employee simply said, "Not everyone adheres to the smoking ban." No apology, no solution, no accommodations. We left immediately. Since then, complete radio silence. No response to emails, phone calls are immediately hung up. We contacted booking – no response. Money collected, but no service provided. Promised a non-smoking room – got a smoke den. STAY AWAY!

I booked accommodation for my state law exam for 11 nights. The booking criteria were proximity to the exam center and its walking distance, as well as the 7.7-point rating on Booking (which I can't verify today). The information on the website – quote: "Cleaning service: All rooms are thoroughly cleaned every day" – is unfortunately untrue. When I asked Ms. Herpel about this, I received a sporadic reply that housekeeping hasn't been offered for a year. Instead, it is provided upon specific request and is subject to a fee. Accordingly, my companion and I had to improvise cleaning and garbage disposal. Furthermore, the evening quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM are unfortunately rarely observed. Furthermore, there are some exotic roommates who loudly use swear words or play music at extremely high volume. In my opinion, the residents do not adhere to the posted smoking ban, as the hallways smell very strongly of cigarettes or cannabis. The doors aren't fire doors, but rather conventional room doors, so you don't feel safe. We always locked the door from the inside. Furthermore, the digital intercom doesn't work either. This means that once someone arrives downstairs, the other person has to run down all the stairs to greet them. The beds are French box-spring beds with toppers, but they are somewhat uncomfortable and creaky. Finally, the "rain shower" in the bathroom is also worth mentioning; it's very calcified and looks totally unhygienic. Since the price for 11 nights was paid in advance, changing rooms was hardly an option given the additional costs.
