Golden Bay is a beautifully situated hotel, centrally located in Malia. You can walk everywhere. The rooms are good and are kept spotlessly clean and well-maintained. We do have a few drawbacks: the staff is very stiff; a "good morning" is barely uttered. The breakfast buffet is the same every day and is poorly replenished, especially if you arrive a bit late. Furthermore, the hotel closes for food and drinks after 10:00 a.m. You can't get anything there all day. In that respect, it feels more like a holiday home than a hotel. There's not much for children to do. The pool is very deep, and there's a grassy area with a ball.

Cleaning was just for checkmark, just changing the towel and trash bag, but overall territory was clean and nice and that mam who cleaned all of this was pretty nice and friendly. Food - we had only breakfast and there was.. disappointing there was very small choice and all of my breakfast was sandwiches and pancakes. Geo - best about this hotel is his location, very close to sea, close to very good tavern and McDonald's, a lot of stores Administrator was very friendly, we call him early because of early arrival, but he still took call and told us about our room and when it be ready

Lovely hotel. Clean and spacious rooms with decent bed (not the most comfy lounges for those with kids needing to sleep there but ok). ||||The staff are lovely and hospitable, the restaurant staff in particular are friendly and welcoming. ||||Great pool and beach too. Lots of parking so easy with a rental.
