I am writing to formally complain about my stay on January 11th, in room 809, which was unfortunately marred by a series of serious problems. The reservation was made through the hotel's website, with payment made via credit card for R$ 239.81, an amount that appeared normally on my statement and had not been canceled. However, upon arriving at reception, I was informed that the payment was not in the system. Therefore, we were instructed to make the payment again, with the receptionist guaranteeing that if the automatic refund of one of the transactions was not processed by the following day, the hotel itself would issue the refund. In addition to the financial problem, the room conditions were unacceptable: • The bathtub was dirty and lacked a drain cover, making proper use impossible. • The blanket was filthy, with visible traces of semen, which is extremely serious and revolting. • Only a makeshift solution was provided to try and use the bathtub, which didn't work because the water wouldn't stay in place. • The air conditioning wasn't working properly. • I was trapped inside the bathroom because the door wouldn't open from the inside. My boyfriend had gone out to get food, and I was locked in for about 20 minutes without my cell phone, which was an extremely distressing and traumatic situation. I emphasize that this hotel has significant emotional value for us, as it's where we started our relationship, which makes the disappointment even greater. Unfortunately, this time, the experience was traumatic. The following day, the receptionist confirmed that there had been an error on the hotel's part in the double billing and sent me an email informing me about the refund. However, to date, the refund has not been processed. Furthermore, I've found several similar complaints on Reclame Aqui (Brazilian consumer complaint website) involving double billing without refunds, which increases my concern. Given all that has happened, I expect an immediate resolution regarding the refund and a formal statement from the hotel. If this is not resolved in a timely manner, I will take appropriate legal action, including legal action. I await your urgent response.
