We enjoyed a staycation during the holidays. Front guest service was top tier. We were upgraded twice. The executive lounge was clean, quiet and spacious. Room service was amazing every time we ordered food which was frequently. The room was clean, quiet and fancy yet modern. I understand the restaurant may not be part of the hotel but the restaurant experience for me was bad. We made reservations with OpenTable weeks in advance. When we arrived Christmas evening they didn’t have our reservation in their system. I showed them my reservation on my phone. The host went back and spoke to a manager. Anyway, it was a lot of back and forth. They decided to sit us but we had to wait. We chose not to wait in the restaurant. We elected to have the special holiday dinner in the room. Well it was a back and forth with management and the front desk with that option. I did get my Christmas dinner via room service. There was a random drunk woman from the restaurant in the hotel yelling at her spouse. The young gentleman at the front desk looked traumatized because she was there for a while. No ma’am, go back in the restaurant with the loud antics. Anyway long story short, bad restaurant customer service experience but great hotel experience. Location is in the heart of Uptown. We were able to walk to Blumenthal and a few restaurants. But without expensive valet, the parking option is public garage and open lots.

This is a REALLY cool Marriott property. I only regret that we were only here for one night! The rooms were impeccably clean. I loved the art and quirkiness of the hotel. The front desk staff couldn’t have been more lovely and the location was perfect for what we were there for- a Carolina Panthers game. We will choose this property if we’re in Charlotte again!
