This is a really nice place to stay in belfast close to city centre .The receptionists are really friendly and helpful.Thexrooms are immaculately clean and the beds are super comfortable.The breakfast is really good and a great sekection of food.The observstory is really nice as there is a view over the city but the drinks here are really overpriced at 11 pounds for pint of beer and 17 for a cocktail but ok for one off experience.I would definitely stay here again.

My review of our stay on New Years Eve is in two parts. First the good part: From arriving at the Grand Central on NYE to leaving on NYD the experience was second to none. The service was superb, the staff very courteous and helpful and the room was excellent. The special NYE meal in the Seahorse was gourmet dining at its best. The stay was all we had hoped for and I have no criticism of the hotel itself at all. The bad part: Pre arrival contact with the hotel was very awkward, frustrating and at times singularly unhelpful. The combined central telephone hub was call centre standard at its worst. The first lady I spoke to was unhelpful and I have to say short and a bit rude. The second lady I spoke too was helpful but when she put me through to the GCH I did not get answered and was eventually cut off. This happened 3 times. When I did get through to the restaurant the gentleman appeared to be speaking to someone else and then put the phone down on me. In business the initial reception contact, physical or by telephone, is the first point of contact with any business and if it is not helpful the business will lose customers prospective and existing. I was on the point of cancelling my booking when I was put through to a concierge called Barry. Barry saved the day. He could not have been more helpful and personally sorted the whole matter in 5 minutes. I had hoped to speak to him when we arrived but he was not on duty but please thank him. If it had not been for Barry sorting the bad part we might never have got to the good part actually staying in the hotel which we will definitely do again.
