Loved our stay here! We loved the grounds, a beautiful, private walk to a sweet little village, wonderful views, food was delicious. Our room was comfortable, a/c is definitely European not US-caliber, but knowing this is half the battle. We were in a separate building up a hill from the main building, we appreciated the private feeling and what felt like our own rooftop patio. 2 adults, 1 18 year old, we were comfortable and not crowded.

I stayed in this hotel just over 1 year ago with a group booking. The hotel was very spacious with large rooms. Our bedroom was extremely dated with 1950’s/1960’s furniture. The bathroom also was extremely dated. We couldn’t work the shower and there was a handle coming off a cupboard in the bathroom. This actually ruined our holiday. The view from the balcony was amazing, looking out over the pool towards the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. The food was adequate but not fine dining which was what we were expecting. I can imagine that in its heyday it would have been gorgeous. The staff , however, were very attentive. Many people in our group complained, but the owner said he couldn’t change the bedrooms. We paid 4* prices for what turned out to be a very disappointing holiday .The owner needs to renovate the bedrooms up to a 4* level , otherwise he will have trouble competing with nearby hotels.
