We stayed for a total of 3 nights on a family trip, and I was satisfied with the spaciousness of the room... but they only cleaned it for one day. Of course, it might have been because the timing didn't work out, but other 5-star hotels usually come to the uncleaned room to at least offer water or change the towels. We only received cleaning for one day on the last day. Also, one day there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the hallway.

I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Jeju with my family on March 12th, booking a twin room (for three people) through the hotel's official website. We arrived at the hotel around 7 PM to check in. First and foremost, the room was quite spacious, with two standard double beds. The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet, and the overall cleanliness and maintenance were excellent. The accommodation facilities were satisfactory and met my expectations for a luxury hotel. However, we encountered some issues with service details during our stay. Although the booking information clearly indicated three guests, the room initially only had enough amenities for two people (slippers, bathrobes, mouthwash cups, and towels). After contacting the hotel, staff quickly provided additional towels, bath towels, and slippers, which was acceptable. However, for a five-star hotel, failing to prepare all amenities according to the number of guests before check-in is still somewhat negligent. Furthermore, about ten minutes after entering the room, we noticed the vanity mirror light was flickering. After reporting this to the front desk, hotel staff came to replace the batteries, seemingly resolving the problem at that point. However, the problem persisted upon returning to the room after dining out that evening. The only recourse was to remove the batteries and notify the front desk again. Furthermore, it was only upon preparing to rest that it was noticed that only two sets of pillows (one large and one small) were provided, not for a three-person occupancy. In other words, many basic amenities and bedding items needed to be reported and replenished after check-in. Overall, while the room's facilities and space were indeed excellent, there is significant room for improvement in pre-check-in preparation and equipment checks. For a five-star hotel under the Hyatt Hotels Corporation, these should be basic and standardized service procedures. It is hoped that the hotel will place greater emphasis on room checks and pre-check-in preparation in the future to provide a complete accommodation experience consistent with its brand positioning.
