Our stay at Grand Hyatt Taipei was a mix of emotions. The experience unfortunately started with a very disappointing check-in interaction with one of the staff members. We have already exchanged emails with the hotel regarding this matter. It was not our intention to escalate the issue further, but we believe it is important for the hotel to be mindful that individual behavior can affect the overall impression of an otherwise well-known property. On the positive side, the room itself was very comfortable, clean, and well maintained, which made the stay pleasant. The breakfast selection was extensive, although it can get extremely busy. I would recommend arriving earlier in the morning to avoid long queues and the crowd. The bar experience was excellent. The staff there were attentive and welcoming, regularly checking in and making sure our glasses were never empty. Their service was truly impressive. Overall, Grand Hyatt Taipei is still a good hotel with a great location, and aside from the unfortunate check-in experience, many aspects of the stay were enjoyable.

5-star hotel, 1-star service. It took forever to get through on the phone (I called from 9 am to 1:30 pm before finally getting through), and the hotel staff's response was, "Do you know that hotels in Taiwan are short-staffed right now?" This was a truly shocking response. I can only give it one star. I would never recommend this hotel to foreign guests or friends and family again.
