We went there with exceedingly high exceptions based on reviews. Sadly, parts of the trip failed to meet expectations. Pros - Beautiful resort -Most everyone we came in contact with were very kind and professional -Our room #801 was gorgeous Cons - The street noise level was unbelievably loud, all day and night long, especially anywhere on the main floor of the hotel. - The resort states the food experience is michelin star level. Perhaps those chefs making it michelin level were on vacation as we barely enjoyed some meals. For example - we dined at Loto. The half inch pieces of steak on each skewer were completely dried out, chewy and tasteless. We dined at Lucca the Italian restaurant the next night. One had the penne arribiata and it was fine. The other had gnocchi and it was not good. The tiny gnocchi, obviously store bought, were just smothered in cheese, very tasteless and coming from an italian, this was also incredibly disappointing. We ordered a steak to split and it was basically all fat - absolutely disgusting. To make the evening even more unpleasant - through no fault of the restaurant, a table of about 10 had their 3-5 children running around screaming - this is 7pm in the evening, one should be able to enjoy a meal - or try to, without kids screaming. Room Service - Out of all the liquor supplied in the room, we were basically only interested in the room cabernet wine - the half sized bottle doesn't go far. Knowing that we were dining at Lucca that night, we texted Viviana our concierge at 9:30 am for a couple more of those little bottles to be added when the fridge was restocked. She said no problem. We contacted them by phone and by text, numerous times throughout the day when we returned to our room and saw they were still not delivered and each time we were told by the person who answered that they would get it handled. By 7pm it still never was brought up. We had to go down to the bar and get glasses of wine separately. That was not ok. We didn’t even take the tequila gifted to us and barely used any of the other items in the mini refrigerator. Room service was non-existent. Bottom line, the hotel was not worth the price we paid. We won’t be back.
