Let me start with the good bits, the staff are really helpful and friendly. The location, depending on what your reason for visiting London is in an ok place. My 1st room on the 3rd floor, was road facing and TINY. After a very long day exploring in the bitter cold I was looking forward to getting into the warmth of the hotel. The radiators were cold and not switching on, the tv was broken and there was no bathroom blind so when the light was on people could see in and ever single floorboard squeak, i felt sorry for the peoole below me and no tea or milk. Maintenance were very quick to the room but couldn't fix any of it. The room had an oil heater so that took the chill out of the room but was definitely not warm due to the gaps in the windows. I went for breakfast in the morning and reception were great and said they would move me rooms. The 2nd room was a lot bigger, the floorboards still squeaked, there was still not blind on the bathroom window but it wasn't road facing so not as noisy with cars etc. The windows were the same with rotten wood so gaps but the radiators were on so it was a lot warmer. The fan in the room didn’t go on when I went for a shower but 2am it went on, sounded like a plane in the room and didn't switch off. Breakfast was ok, it saved me having to find breakfast in the morning, not 100% sure it was worth it but don't regret it. All in all it was like faulty towers but the staff were lovely. I wouldn't stay again, I have definitely stayed in better cheaper hotels.

Work trip and £250+ for a room. Never stayed here before so thought would give it a go. Positives Location fantastic, very quiet area of London. Bed nice and big, although two pushed together. Did actually get a good nights sleep. Negatives Smelt funny, hotel and room, very dated (could be my personal preference) service slow for London at check in. Room very dated and very basic amenities. Had a random stereo in one of the cupboards. Furniture looked tired and need for refurbished. Randomly had to walk through the resultant whilst people eat to get to and from my room. Would I stay again? Probably not unless no other option. Wouldn’t want to be in the basement again.
