Great Wolf Lodge Traverse City

We were so blessed during home school week. Our first time .. and well. It will not be our last ❤️. Our room was nothing special, but definitely ample space for 3 adults, two toddlers.. and one pack and play. Amd seriously we considered leaving for sinner.. but the family pizza deal was just as much as going out♡ and it easily fed us all. Water park Could honestly use some more shallow water tables, and smaller slides for the 2 and under crowd. But. THE LIFE GUARDS WER TOTALLY AMAZING.. I could Harley take a video without one walking by us and ACTIVELY checking the water. Huge Kudos 👏 We went in March so we were not able to enjoy the mini golf or the outdoor pool. The arcade is just that.. we loved the kids games..and won..so they brought home stuff ♡ Bubble dance parties were so much fun.. story time is hard to hear, and sometimes the staff seemed bored.. which i as an adult saw.. not sure thr kiddos paid much attention ♡ The older gentleman at the front door is a true Gem 💎👌 Seriously. My one complaint. No automatic push buttoned handicapped entry .. See you next year GWL. thanks for the memories.. My 2 year old grand daughter is STILL sporting the ears.. and missing her 5 ft. Build a Bear. Btw. We left so many baby Jesus figurines ♡♡ my grands loved leaing them my the pool elevator.. Ice cream was a big hit too 😋.. Yep. We will be back

Overall, worth the price. The rooms are nice and appropriately themed - not just generic hotel/motel. The activities are endless, so many great interactions with helpful staff. The food both in the restaurant and breakfast buffet were better than I expected based on the reviews. Paying to park in the parking lot for the hotel is dumb, I get that it's to enforce day-users of the water park, but it could be included in the price and a printout given to place on your dash. Overall it's a fun place to bring your family and your wallet.

First off, this is a great location for kids and family vacations. The room we had was two queens with a balcony on the third floor. Our room was super clean and very spacious, and it came with a mini fridge and microwave, which came in handy when we wanted to make 🍿 popcorn. The beds and pillows were very soft and comfortable, but the sheets and comforter were a little lackluster—you might as well be sleeping with a towel. There are a lot of food options, even though they’re definitely overpriced. We got the Pup Pass, which included arcade games. The arcade does have a small toddler section, which was nice, but the prices for games and the number of tickets you get are definitely on the high side. Ski-ball is always a win, though. The bubble dance party is awesome and a great way for kids to burn off energy. One issue we noticed was navigation around the resort. The directions and signage for where things are on each floor are kind of lacking. We had trouble finding food locations and even the entrance to the pool at times. Another big issue is the elevators. There is only one main elevator location, and it can take 10–15 minutes to get one, which is tough when kids are tired and restless. There really needs to be better signage for the stairs and clearer directions to different areas. Also, charging $20 a night for parking in the hotel lot when you’re already paying to stay there and use the resort feels unnecessary. That should really be included. That was a big red flag for us. The resort itself is huge and has a lot to do—Build-A-Bear, ice cream, pizza, bowling, an arcade, and a lazy river. However, it’s not quite as big as it’s advertised. The staff were attentive and great, which we really appreciated. One downside was the noise. Even after the posted 11 p.m. quiet time, we could hear kids running and stomping in the room above us. It honestly sounded like a concert above our heads at times and continued late into the night. Because of the noise and lack of sleep, we actually left early and didn’t stay the second night. Overall, it’s a fun place for kids, but there are definitely some things that could be improved.
