Gumus Peninsula Hotel

The hotel was terrible. The man at the front desk was middle-aged and didn't speak English and was incredibly rude. The breakfast was terrible, the cleanliness was terrible, everything was dusty, and no one answered the phone. It felt like you were paying for a terrible stay; I didn't expect this at all.

Unfortunately, people tend to write negative reviews after negative experiences. That's why I want to share our positive experience! My wife and I stayed at the Gümüs Hotel in October for our honeymoon. The view is breathtaking. You can enjoy the sunset from there every evening. The resort is very quiet, which is fantastic. We felt like we had the hotel to ourselves. The breakfast is delicious, and they are happy to accommodate requests if you don't like a particular dish. They also provided us with complimentary lunch boxes for our night flight. Thank you so much! Teşekkür ediyoruz. 🙃 The hotel owner and staff are truly service-oriented. They even suggested activities to do in the area when we were short on ideas. My only minor criticism is that they should find a way to keep insects away from the terrace and pool area for those who are afraid of them. I don't recommend this place. The rooms are tired. It all started with the fact that we were accommodated in a terribly smoky room (we don't smoke) it was impossible to breathe, we asked the administrator to solve this issue, to which we were told that there were no rooms available in the hotel, although only 3 rooms were busy and hotel administrators just brought an air freshener for the toilets. We decided to look for another hotel because it was impossible to breathe, we didn't find anything and decided to spend the night and check out in the morning . Miraculously, in the evening, Aslanbek came to us and helped us with offer to live in another room where it didn't stink of smoke, thank you very much !! . Stoping angry at this hotel, we decided to give it another chance. Typical Turkish breakfast. There's hot water, but they don't clean the room. The next morning, when we woke up, we found that there was no electricity in the hotel, and the touch faucet (powered by the socket) was not working, which also means that we would not have breakfast. The moment we got into the car, the lights were turned on. Big plus just for the view from the room. The hotel is located 6 km from the mainland (almost at the very end of the peninsula)
