Rooms are tidy and maintained, but dated. So is the general ´feel´ of the room. Removed an extra star because there are many parties on the beach. Night before I ledt was laying awake until 4 AM on a workday... Friendly staff all around. Pool is great and nicely warm in winter. Had to ask to turn the music down a bit. Must be a Dubai thing... There is construction going on in the garden that makes noise but thays temporary. Hopefully the old part is next for a renovation!

We celebrated New Year's here, and the holiday food was excellent, with a variety of seafood. But the biggest drawback is that a large building is being constructed right in front of the building. It's unsightly, blocks the beautiful sea view, and is extremely noisy all day and night. Work continued even on January 1, 2026. They started hammering on metal at 7:40 a.m., making it impossible to relax. When we complained about the noise, they offered us a room change, which I declined because it was difficult to repack and also because we'd overpaid for a room with a sea view. So, as compensation, they offered us access to the VIP club, which we accepted, but in reality, it was a cafe on the 25th floor, and nothing special, just a status boost. In fact, this hotel should have been closed for renovations while the building opposite was under construction, especially since the building is old and in need of repair. The biggest downside is that we had the all-inclusive package, which meant we could order whatever we wanted on the hotel premises whenever we wanted, but in reality, it was just three meals a day. Compared to Half-Bored, we overpaid $1,000 for the all-inclusive package, and it turned out that if we'd already had dinner at 6:30 PM, we wouldn't be able to grab a bite at one of the cafes at 11:30 PM, for example. We could have paid $280 per person instead of $1,000 and gotten three meals a day. So my advice: don't come here for at least another year and a half, and don't go for the all-inclusive package under any circumstances—it's a scam.
