We really like this hotel because you feel like you're in the countryside but you're right in the city, great for a getaway and the breakfast buffets are delicious.

Wasted Potential: When Beauty Isn't Enough After staying at Hacienda Jurica by Brisas, I'm left with mixed feelings. The historic hacienda is genuinely beautiful, and the staff is polite and friendly, but that's where the good points end. THE GOOD: • The hacienda's architecture is gorgeous • Friendly and helpful staff • Pleasant location WHAT COULD BE IMPROVED (and there are many details): Climate control: The entire hotel is freezing. The mini-split system doesn't work properly, and the temperature control is terrible. Really? Mini-splits in a "luxury hotel"? Linens and amenities: The towels feel like sandpaper, and the sheets and pillows are below the expected standard. Nothing premium here. Bathrooms: Unpleasant odors and poorly installed faucets. It's clear the renovation was superficial. Soundproofing: ZERO. You can hear absolutely everything from the adjoining rooms. Technology: Old TVs with no streaming options, phones from another era, and incredibly slow Wi-Fi (it doesn't even reach 10MB). Forget about working remotely or watching Netflix. Food: For the price, I expected more. Supermarket tortillas in a hotel that positions itself as a special destination. Plastic wristbands: If you're in a group, they give you a wristband that looks like it belongs in a timeshare. Uncomfortable and not very elegant. MY CONCLUSION: This hotel has ALL the potential in the world, but it's poorly executed. It's not a luxury hotel; it's more like a bed and breakfast with pretensions of grandeur. The hacienda deserves to be bought by a hotel operation that will truly elevate it. Querétaro needs truly high-quality hotel infrastructure, and this place is a clear example of a missed opportunity. If you're looking for a premium experience, look elsewhere. If you just want the pretty picture of the hacienda and don't care about basic amenities, go ahead. And by the way, they don't care about wasting water here; they have absolutely no regard for the environment. They provide bottled water instead of updating to a refillable system, and there are no water conservation signs whatsoever. It's terrible. Price/quality ratio: It's completely mismatched.
