This was my second stay. I had a great experience when I stayed with a friend, so I stayed alone again. Perhaps it was because I was alone, but the hotel staff's service was haphazard, and the service at dinner was the worst. Even though I'm Japanese, they spoke to me in English; it took 30 minutes from when I sat down until my first meal (same for drinks); the food was almost taken away within 5 minutes; other guests were overheard but no one asked about my after-meal drinks; and the staff were talking among themselves outside of work (they were just laughing and joking around and it seemed like others could hear). The service was so bad you could see it. When I was asked how the meal was on my way out, I replied, "No... yes." and remained silent. I felt like I was being taken advantage of. I didn't want to be treated like that anymore, so even though I had included breakfast, I didn't go. Also, when it came to the bus pick-up and drop-off on my way back, they got the bus stop wrong three times even though I had told them my destination in advance, so I felt like I wasn't being taken care of until the very end. I guess it just wasn't meant to be. I can no longer recommend it to others.

A lovely and serene resort tucked away in the forest. If you travel by public transport, you will need to walk up the path, where a golf cart will take you to the entrance. We had a seamless check in experience thanks to Debora. We were pleased to know that they served complimentary coffee & tea at the cafe and provided board games and a fire pit in the common area. The room we stayed in came with a coffee/tea maker and speakers, but no tv, which we didn’t mind. The view was beautiful. They provided pajamas and soft quilted jackets to wear within the hotel area. There is a free shuttle that can take you to restaurants within a 2 km radius. The only con was that the walls in the sink area could use a paint job as it has started peeling. Breakfast was excellent but lacking Japanese options in my opinion.

Due to a mistake on our part, we were unable to get the room we had planned, but we were very satisfied with the hotel. It was simple yet sophisticated, and the staff were all very nice. Aside from the room, the hospitality was also very enjoyable. Guests can enjoy coffee and tea in the lounge until 10pm, and in a separate building there are wooden Othello boards and building blocks. There are also colored pencils and coloring books. There is also table tennis in the back, for an additional fee. Of all the hotels I've stayed at in the past, this is one I would most like to visit again.
