MMy husband and I stayed here in April 2023. We still talk about this hotel, and it has become the baseline for what we look for whenever we travel. Quiet, small, luxurious, and just perfect. The service everywhere in Japan—especially at luxury hotels—is exceptional, but the service here truly stood out. The grounds are breathtaking, and the food is delicious. I’m so glad we were able to stay here, especially since they are temporarily closed for renovations. We look forward to staying here again!

Incredible room and incredible food, we were in Japan for 2 weeks and ate in good restaurants the entire time and both the dinner and the breakfast a Hakone Suishoen were our best meals of the trip. This place is worth every penny.
