The hotel's onsen (hot spring) focuses on relaxation, with simple and soothing bathing spaces offering natural views from the windows, allowing guests to quietly enjoy time alone, whether in the morning or evening. Dinner features refined vegetarian cuisine inspired by the spirit of Zen temple dining, using seasonal ingredients and delicate, restrained seasonings. When I was thinking about visiting Eiheiji Temple, I looked for nearby accommodations and was attracted by the fact that they offered zazen and morning service experiences. The exterior entrance had a clean, luxurious feel, so I hesitated. The front desk staff were very polite, and I was impressed by the warm smiles of the staff. Dinner was shojin ryori, a delicious, carefully prepared meal. Breakfast also featured shojin ryori-style dishes as side dishes. Both were delicious.
