I really enjoyed my stay at the Hampton Inn Dallas. The hotel was clean, convenient, and provided good service throughout my visit. It’s especially well located for events at the fairgrounds and is situated in a walkable area, which was a big plus. Having a Starbucks connected to the hotel was also very convenient. There is an indoor swimming pool, though the water was lukewarm. One interesting and somewhat amusing detail is that the hotel has a 13th floor, which is often omitted in many hotels and buildings due to superstition. The only improvement I’d suggest is upgrading the televisions to include streaming options.

The only positive aspects of this hotel are its location and the Starbucks on the ground floor. After a 30-hour journey, we entered our room and were immediately confronted with a fan that was extremely loud, sounding like a major construction site. It was impossible to turn off, making it very difficult to rest. The housekeeping staff member was extremely unfriendly. She wanted to clean the room, but we asked her to return in 30 minutes as we still needed time to get ready to leave. She returned exactly 30 minutes later, and when we asked her to wait just one more minute because we were getting dressed, she rolled her eyes at us. Breakfast was very poor, with everything wrapped in plastic and of very low quality. At check-out, we requested a split invoice. We were told this was not possible, even though we have never had any issues with this request at other hotels within the same chain. The receptionist was visibly annoyed but eventually processed the request. When we later went to collect our luggage, he did not respond at all and appeared clearly irritated and rude. In addition, the street noise was very loud. Overall, we do not recommend this hotel.

The only positive aspect was the location. Breakfast was less than ideal. The newly renovated room on the 18th floor was extremely noisy—it constantly sounded like an A380 taking off, 24/7—making sleep nearly impossible. The room was equipped with an ironing board, hairdryer, refrigerator, etc. The staff was incredibly unfriendly. The young man at check-in was very helpful, but from that point on, the staff were just abysmal. This hotel is only recommended if you just need a quick room downtown with no service and you sleep with earplugs.
