I'll start by saying the staff were great—always courteous and quick to say hello when passing by. The front desk attendant was consistently available to answer questions or provide pool towels. Just note that you need to return those towels to avoid a $50 fee. It would be more convenient if towels were available at the pool itself, but the front desk is right across from it, so it’s not too much of a hassle. The pool water isn’t heated, but the room it’s in is, which is helpful in the winter. The pool could use a bit of updating; the bottom definitely needs a fresh coat of paint, but otherwise it was fine, and the kid enjoyed it. The room was updated and looked good for the price range—maybe even a bit better than expected. The only issues were a hole in the wall where the door hits and some cracks near the air conditioner. Another minor downside is the lack of noise insulation; you can hear doors closing, and sounds from neighboring bathrooms or showers carry through. The free breakfast was great. They had cereal, make-your-own waffles, eggs, sausage, and some really good seasoned potatoes. There was also a juice machine with several options, plus bagels and a toaster. Overall, for the price and for being right off the freeway, it’s a pretty solid choice. And being only 10–15 minutes from Frankenmuth—where hotels are two to three times the price—it’s a good value.

The room had horrible carpet stains. The smoke detector dangled from the ceiling. Missing caulk floor stains in the bathroom. Just tired and neglected. The room is not well sound proofed from road and other guest noise. The staff was polite but often left vacuums and cleaning carts unattended in the halls. The breakfast area was undersized and poorly laid out but the staff worked to keep trash empty and food supplied.

Checked in and paid $230 a night and paid for 2 nights. Walked into my room to be greeted to a giant stain across the floor, drywall tape hanging off the wall. The stain looked like a murder scene and the front desk lady said she would send maintenance to look. The bathroom had mold around the sink. The fitness room has black mold all over in the room. The workers are a joke that have no idea what they’re talking about. We booked another room and tried swapping and they claimed they were sold out of rooms.
