There were two of us. The first showered but the tub did not drain so the 2nd shower would have caused it to overflow. The front desk attendant offered to change rooms as FD attendant (Betsy) had no staff to solve the problem until next morning. The 1st showerer did not want to dress and move all our belongings as at this point we had settled in, he was still wet and so we declined. Tub did not drain overnight. The FD attendant (different person in the morning) offered an indifferent apology for our inconvenience. As Honors members and frequent guests of the brand go many years, this was not representative of our Hampton Inn experience. Dunn, NC/Room 522. 3/8-3/9/26 In response to HI’s response to this review. I take exception to blaming the guest who showered first for the stopper being immovable. In our 70’s and at the end of a long travel day, we don’t play with the stopper during a shower (never intended to be a bath). Really?? An indifferent apology AND blame shifting? Do better HI!

As a Gold member, I was very disappointed with my recent experience at this hotel. Unfortunately, the interaction at the front desk set the tone for the entire stay. The front desk employee, Betsy Morales, was not very empathetic or welcoming. Her demeanor came across as dismissive, and the overall interaction felt distasteful. I was informed about the hotel’s policy that anyone with an address within 50 miles is considered a local and must pay a $250 deposit plus an additional $25 per night for incidentals. Even after I explained that I was in town for work, there was no flexibility or attempt to better understand my situation. Our employees stay with this brand frequently across many locations, and we have never felt so uncomfortable at a Hampton Inn before. I understand that this may be an independently operated property, but locations carrying the Hampton Inn name should still uphold the same level of hospitality and customer service that the brand is known for. Additionally, there was no effort to provide basic hospitality such as information about the hotel amenities or recommendations for local food options, which is something I’ve come to expect as a frequent traveler and Gold member. Overall, the lack of professionalism and customer service at check-in left a very poor impression. Because of this experience, I would not choose to stay at this hotel again.

We got there late we got in. We showered and slept. We had breakfast in the morning. The staff were wonderful. The rooms were clean and breakfast was amazing as usual. We make it our business to only stay at Hampton inns when we travel.
