We stayed here for an overnight visit to Charlotte. This is an older hotel and is still nice but could benefit from some renovations in the lobby and hallways. There is a paid, covered parking deck which was nice. The hotel is within walking distance to a few restaurants/bars and the Spectrum Center so once we parked we were able to walk to dinner and the concert. They also offer free continental breakfast which was decent. Overall, it’s a good hotel option for the price.

This is the best hotel to stay if you're in town for a trip. This is my 2nd time staying and Mr. Ravon has always been pleasant and helpful.

I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn Charlotte-Uptown with my family, and I feel compelled to recognize the incredible young man working the front desk, Timmy. When we arrived, it was clear he was managing everything on his own: handling multiple check-ins, answering a constantly ringing phone, and assisting guests with various questions. Despite the pressure and obvious workload, he never once seemed irritated or dismissive. Instead, he remained calm, attentive, and genuinely kind to everyone he interacted with. What stood out most was his personality. He greeted us warmly, made eye contact, and spoke to us like real people; not just another reservation. He even made my family laugh during the check-in process, which immediately made us feel comfortable and welcomed after a long day of travel. His sense of humor, paired with his professionalism, created an atmosphere that felt human and sincere rather than transactional. Timmy was incredibly down-to-earth and approachable. You could tell he cared about the guests and wanted everyone to have a good experience, even while juggling responsibilities that would overwhelm most people. He handled each interaction with patience, grace, and genuine hospitality. It’s rare to encounter someone who embodies the spirit of hospitality so naturally, someone who makes you feel seen and valued rather than rushed. Employees like Timmy are the heart of any hotel. He represents exactly what hospitality should be: warm, personal, and sincere, even under pressure. Management should be proud to have someone like him representing their property. He made a lasting impression on my family, and his kindness did not go unnoticed. I hope he receives the recognition he truly deserves.
