Hampton Inn Monroe

Hotel was very close to town and to the highway, which made getting around easy. Rooms were really nice and spacious. Room was very clean and staff were very nice. Overall service was awesome. Would stay again! Great value for the price for us!

I’ve stayed at this location for work several times over the past few months. The staff is super friendly. The rooms honestly are older but they are in good condition. The fitness center is small yet manageable

This hotel has significantly gone downhill. We stayed there this past weekend. Our room was located on the third floor (room 322). The room itself was clean however it’s in need of major repairs. First- the door does not latch when shut. This is a huge issue as anyone could simply push on the door to open it. The only way we could lock it- was to use the little security bar from the inside of the room. Not very secure and certainly not very safe. Especially with no way to lock the room if we weren’t inside it. Second- the furniture in the room was awful. It’s in very poor condition. The nightstands were severely worn and in disrepair. The desk was barely standing and wobbled when used. The bed is in need of a new mattress- the one currently in that room was so uncomfortable from the years of use. The linens were stained and the bedspread appeared to have been excessively used- it was full of snags. Almost appeared as though an animal had scratched it up. The pillows provided are way too small for a king size bed. King size beds need king sized pillows. Only standard size pillows are provided. The pillows were very uncomfortable -again due to years of use and not being replaced. There was a hole behind the door where the doorstop had been pushed completely through the wall. The main lobby was nice and clean. However the entire hotel needs new carpeting. There are purple paint stains all over in the hallway on the 3rd floor- and the carpet in room 322- disgusting from all the years of use. Full of stains and discoloration due to excessive wear and tear. The elevator was extremely slow and very jerky when riding in it. I suggest skipping it altogether and use the stairs. Overall not a good place to stay at all. We had a similar issue a few years ago when we stayed at this hotel- only last time- we were on the first floor. It should also be noted that there is also very limited parking so when the hotel is sold out or busy- good luck finding a parking spot. You’ll end up parking along the street instead. I’m surprised that Hilton allows this hotel to remain open in the condition the rooms are in.
