If you are looking for a place in Sri Lanka to truly disconnect and find peace, this is it. After a Vipassana course in Kandy where the silence was interrupted by "For Elise" and city cacophony, finding Hadunkande was a blessing. Located just 2 hours from Colombo, it feels like a different world entirely. From the moment I arrived, the team made me feel genuinely welcome and cared for. The food is simple, yet incredibly delicious and authentic (honestly, they serve the best papadam I’ve ever had in SL!). One of my favorite features was the natural pool. It’s the perfect spot to cool off while feeling completely immersed in the surrounding greenery. The rooms are also wonderful: simple but with a very comfortable mattress, hot water, and a private balcony. What makes this place magical is the soundscape; you fall asleep and wake up to the rhythmic sound of distant water, frogs, and the gentle hum of the jungle. The air is so fresh it feels like you can finally breathe again. Traveling with friends, the small animal enclosure was an absolute highlight for my friend's child. Beyond the resort, there is so much to explore nearby, from hidden waterfalls and ancient ruins to untouched nature. I truly wish I could have stayed longer. Thank you for this experience, I will be back!

The place is really awesome. Stayed here for a couple of days. Didn’t even want to leave. The team that works here is very professional, and at the same time very welcoming and friendly. Gives a whole homely feeling to it. The meals are specially good, with a large range of varieties in Sri Lankan cuisine. The walking areas and nature around the location is exceptionally good. Will definitely visit the place again.

We really liked the place. The natural pool was great and the food was very tasty and authentic. The place was like heaven on top of a mountain - the view was amazing. The rooms and beds were comfortable and there were sitting areas. The people were nice and the service was good. There is internet (Starlink) but it doesn't work everywhere, though it covers most places. It was actually nice to not be available from time to time. Phone signals didn't work, which made for a perfect digital detox.
