Cottages quite far from the road. Average beds. Good heating. Parking in front of the cottage. One blind was broken and couldn't be lowered. The water in the sink was very difficult to drain, so we used the sink in the kitchenette. The room had furniture and fixtures that could use a facelift. There were three of us, but one place at the table was unusable due to adjacent furniture.

I highly recommend this place! A great place to getaway. The cottages are classic, yet warm. ❤️ The perfect place to admire the Northern Lights.

I stayed here for three nights at the beginning of November. Check-in was quick, and the woman was friendly and answered my questions satisfactorily. Upon arriving at the cabin, it looked very charming from the outside. The front door leads directly into the living room/kitchen. The kitchen had two stovetop burners, a fairly large refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a sink, a kettle, a microwave, and a toaster. I had to wash the dishes again because, unfortunately, there were still some remnants from the previous guests. The bathroom was, unfortunately, unacceptable. Much too small for someone who is 1.86m tall and somewhat broad-shouldered. The toilet paper dispenser was broken and looked like it was from the 70s. The shower grout was black. The curtain didn't prevent water from splashing into the room. You also only get one small towel, so be careful with your hand if you want to shower, because you won't have anything else afterward. The bedroom had three beds. All of them were unfortunately very narrow and a bit short. The bed linen looked and smelled clean. Aside from a small wall lamp, there was no other lighting in the bedroom, as the switch or the second lamp was broken. In the living room, in addition to the ceiling light, there were two wall lamps that could be switched on. However, these could not be used separately because they were on the same circuit as the ceiling light. All the roller shutters were broken and had to be rolled up manually. I could only use ONE of the THREE available heaters, as the control knobs on the others were either broken or the controls were open and dangerous. Even on the highest setting, the single heater was insufficient for the small cabin. I strongly advise renovating the cabin(s) or at least partially repairing them. The only positive aspect was the peace and quiet at night and the minimal light pollution, allowing for undisturbed viewing of the Northern Lights. For the same price, I got a newly built cottage with a hot tub in Akureyri for the same number of nights. I won't be booking here again.
