HI Hotels Imperial Resort

Quite a good hotel, we were pleasantly surprised. The food was great. The hotel is 2-3 minutes from the beach. The only thing we didn't like was that it was full of foreigners (they left their towels on the sun loungers, their behavior was bad, they shouted, screamed...)

Travel dates: October 11, 2025 – October 18, 2025 We booked this hotel through HolidayCheck and were very disappointed overall. The trip was plagued by numerous problems that significantly impacted our stay. Check-in We arrived at the hotel around 12:30 pm and received a hostile welcome right from the start. We were immediately told that we would have to wait until 3:00 pm, even though other hotels often at least try to make the room available earlier. In addition, we were informed that we would not be allowed to have lunch – even though we had booked all-inclusive. After 3:00 pm, we only received our room keys, but no information about the hotel, no directions, and no information about the facilities or services. The staff seemed unfriendly and did not speak German, which further hampered communication. Rooms We had to change rooms three times during our stay because every room had serious problems. First room: A mattress was missing, the sofa bed was unsuitable, the furnishings did not match the description, and the room was located far from the main building – offering no protection from the rain. Second room: After every shower, the entire bathroom flooded. The shower door was broken and irreparable. There were also extreme temperature fluctuations between hot and cold. Third room: Here, too, furniture was missing or damaged, and the room still did not match the booked amenities. Hotel Management We went to the hotel manager in person to address the issues. Unfortunately, he was very unfriendly, barely listened to us, and simply told us to discuss it with our tour operator. He then just left us standing there. For a hotel of this category, this behavior is completely unacceptable. Entertainment & Activities The entertainment was also disappointing: The entertainers were often unmotivated and sometimes unfriendly. They were late for the scheduled times or didn't show up at all. Many activities were canceled without replacement. There was no sign of the advertised varied entertainment program. Hotel Facilities & Services Many of the advertised activities simply didn't exist, including: Bocce Mini-golf Beach volleyball Water sports (jet skiing, banana boat rides, etc.) Bicycle rental Shops or laundry facilities The heated outdoor pools were also either unavailable or unusable. Bar & Atmosphere The bar in the reception area was: loud, uncomfortable, and smelled strongly of chlorine, as the entrance to the indoor pool is right next to it and the door was constantly open. There were many English guests there, who were often loud and drank a lot of alcohol. There were very few German guests. Hygiene The hygiene standards were unacceptable: Drinks were served exclusively in badly worn, damaged plastic cups – even wine. Many of the food tongs were dirty, some were missing entirely, forcing guests to use their hands. The snack oil dispenser had clearly not been cleaned in a long time. One morning, there was only stale toast, no fresh rolls. Check-out Check-out was also unpleasant: When we tried to return our key cards, we weren't allowed to leave because the cleaning staff had to call first. We were told we had to wait until it was confirmed that "everything was okay." We had never experienced such a procedure before and found it disrespectful. Food The food was generally monotonous, lacking variety, and of poor quality. Freshness was lacking in many areas. Conclusion We had been looking forward to a relaxing vacation, but instead, we were constantly dealing with room changes, technical problems, missing services, unfriendly staff, poor hygiene, and unpleasant situations. This hotel does not live up to its description or meet any acceptable standards. We cannot recommend it.

The hotel and food was superb,food 20 hours a day ,drink 24 hours a day.Staff very nice.We arrived at end of season when a lot of places was shutting down.Sunny beach itself is about 15 mins by tourist train and depending what you are looking for is ok.
