Hilton Garden Inn Itajai

The hotel is OK, however, the parking service is terrible! I paid for 5 nights and every day I had problems getting in and out; I even had to lift the turnstile with my hand to "get around" it, as there's no support. I struggled with the turnstile every day and nobody resolved the issue.

Great staff. Very helpful. Bruna at the front desk is fantastic. Priscilla at the lobby café is also very helpful and friendly. Both are fluent in English as well which made it very easy for me. I don't want to forget about the 2nd floor restaurant staff too. Great service and friendly. The restaurant is clean and delicious food. I wish I had gotten there names to thank them in this post.

When staying at a Hilton hotel, one expects above-average service and, therefore, is willing to invest a little more in accommodation. Unfortunately, this was not the case at this unit, where the "Hilton" sign seems to be the only thing that remains. The service was poor and unfriendly. I understand that a more sophisticated service might naturally be more discreet, but basic greetings like "good morning" or "good evening" are the minimum of politeness and hospitality, and even that didn't happen (unfriendly receptionists didn't even greet the guests). Furthermore, the hotel does not have a receptionist to assist with luggage, meaning everything is left to the guest's own devices. The elevators had malfunctions, with buttons that didn't work and problems with the card reader. The parking lot is also confusing and there is no valet service. Finally, the room service system was not operational: it did not recognize the guest or the room number, making the service impossible, and when requested by phone, they forgot one of the dishes. The amenities leave much to be desired and are inconsistent with the standard expected of a hotel of this size, which creates a very negative impression for a brand of this magnitude. Overall, the experience fell far short of the standard expected from the brand. Frankly, there are options in the area with less prestigious names/brands but offering far superior service to this "Hilton".
