I'd like to differentiate between the service in the restaurant and at reception. The service in the restaurant and conference area was attentive and friendly. At reception, it was a different story. After a reasonably friendly welcome upon arrival, I pointed out that I was a Diamond member. The response was that they couldn't offer anything on such short notice, which was perfectly fine with me. I then informed reception that I could only stay one night and tried to cancel the second night. This is usually quite possible at a Hilton, especially with just one day's notice, but since it was a group booking, this wasn't an option. I then decided to use the room as a day room, as I was accompanied by someone. The following day at 1:00 PM, my husband was then asked to leave the room—very firmly and rudely, by the way—with the explanation that I had canceled the room and that cancellation fees would now be charged, and that he had to vacate the room. The cancellation fee was ultimately the full room rate, from which they only deducted the cost of breakfast – and then, to add insult to injury, they told me they wouldn't charge for the second night's parking – seriously? Honestly, that's no way to treat a guest! The cancellation fee was equivalent to the regular hotel price – which, in my opinion, also justified my right to stay in the room! And all of this was handled rather rudely… what a shame! So, I definitely can't recommend this hotel…
