ENGLISH: Vaneza was trying to rob me of my money. She was either trying to get money out of me because my Spanish accent is different or she really didn't want to book a room for me and my family. I came to the front desk with my family and asked "how much is a room for my family for one night?", *she starts to look in her system supposedly* she responded "for 2 beds is 5 Thousand Pesos", I asked in response "5,000 exactly?" Vaneza says "yes" my family is hearing everything as well while having this conversation. so, I tell her, give me some time to think about it, I walk to sit down and look online, only to find out it WASNT at 5,000 pesos which equals to 280 dollars, it was actually at 3,387 for the SAME ROOM, so I book it online, and once I came to her, to let her know I did it online, she turns red! Vaneza came with assumptions, but didn't know im Mexican as well. This is extremely wrong of her. Vulturing people is extremely wrong!! Also, be careful with this hotel as they reuse paper with people's information on the back when they give you the Wi-Fi password. I'm in Cybersecurity, and if this were audited, it would have been a major problem, and not only that, it's a HUGE security and compliance risk. I recommend fixing this problem, especially since it's a hotel at the airport. SPANISH: Vaneza was trying to steal my money. So I told her to give me a moment to think about it. I sat down and searched online, only to discover that it didn't cost 5,000 pesos, which is about $280, but 3,387 pesos for the SAME room. So I booked it online, and when I went back to let her know I'd booked it, she turned red! Vaneza made assumptions, but she didn't know I'm Mexican too. This is extremely wrong of her; taking advantage of people like this is unacceptable! Also, be aware that this hotel reuses paper with other people's personal information on the back when they give you the Wi-Fi password. I work in cybersecurity; if this were audited, it would be a serious issue, and not only that, but it represents a HUGE security and regulatory non-compliance risk. I strongly recommend that you fix this problem, especially since it's an airport hotel.

After a long flight, my arrival at the Hilton Garden Inn Monterrey Airport, inside Monterrey International Airport, was more functional than welcoming. The reception staff wasn't particularly friendly, and a few details detracted from the comfort: there wasn't ice on every floor, and they asked guests to get it themselves, offering no assistance upon arrival with such matters. These are minor issues, but after hours of travel, they felt more than one would like. On the positive side, the hotel provides the essentials: complimentary water and coffee, a comfortable bed for a bit of rest, a decent gym for stretching my legs, and good security with key control for elevators and entrances. It also has a restaurant, although phone service often takes more than five minutes to answer. Given the price, the decision becomes difficult, as there are more attractive options nearby. The experience was adequate, nothing more; personally, I'm unlikely to stay there again, although I appreciate that it served its purpose this time.
