A Masterclass in Arrogance, Dishonesty & Zero Accountability My stay at the Hilton Irvine Airport (11/24/2025–11/27/2025) was so shockingly bad that it deserves a warning label. If you’re considering this hotel, stop and read this first. I booked two rooms (406 & 408) at ~$120/night. At check-in, the front desk agent LISA informed us of a $46/day parking fee that was never shown during booking. When I showed the booking, she clearly told us: “I’ll give you complimentary parking for one room.” This was the ONLY reason I didn’t use the EXACT same garage through a parking app for $10/day. Her commitment directly influenced my decision. Everything fell apart at checkout. The Scam Begins at Checkout A different staff member claimed there was no record of the complimentary parking. I explained the entire situation calmly, expecting them to honor their own employee’s promise. Instead, they brought out the manager Steward — and what followed was honestly the most arrogant management interaction I’ve ever experienced. He listened for about 10 seconds and then said, with attitude: “I’ll contact Lisa sometime later and update the status, but you need to pay $46/day while checkout.” Simply, “We don’t honor our own employees’ word. Pay up first.” I explained again that if the hotel had been upfront about the fee, I would have chosen cheaper parking for $10/day. He didn’t care. Not even a little. And when I told him this would result in a negative review? His response: “Yes please sir, you do, and you can dispute.” This hotel has serious integrity issues. This experience exposed several major problems: • They make verbal promises and refuse to honor them. • They push hidden fees and hope guests won’t fight back. • Management behaves like guests are a burden, not customers. • Steward, the manager, treats guest complaints with open arrogance. For a Hilton-branded property, this level of disrespect, dishonesty, and unprofessional behavior is disgraceful. Bottom Line If you value integrity, transparency, and even basic customer respect, this hotel should be an immediate “NO.” Their management is more interested in squeezing money out of guests than providing hospitality. I travel frequently and stay at Hilton properties often — and this was hands-down the worst Hilton experience I’ve ever had. I’m done with this location, and I strongly advise others to avoid it.
