This has become one of my favorite hotels in Long Beach. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. Love the vibe in the lobby and connected bar/restaurant. The free hot cocoa and cider was great, and there is ample room to sit, too. The drinks at the bar were quite honestly far too expensive, though, but I guess that's what you get with a captive audience. They also have shuttles that run -somewhere- but I can't tell you where since I have never taken them. I dig the themed ice/microwave area on each floor, its a fun touch. Rooms are fine, some have had low water pressure in bathroom and others have had some dated items in the room. Having a mini fridge in every room I stayed in is great though. Biggest issue with this hotel is the parking. Be prepared to park at their off-site lot because valet takes up a good portion of the underground parking. According to the valet, the other portion is taken up by "a lot of people who just leave their cars there on cruises, etc. too." That seems a bit ridiculous, if true. Why are we giving preference to those not even currently staying at the hotel? Anyway, the off-site lot is a 5-10 minute walk away, just annoying they don't have a short shuttle to and from the hotel. It is also in a lot that has no gate, allowing literally anyone to go in and out whenever they want.
