Location: Right in the heart of downtown Richmond, which unfortunately comes with some urban challenges. The surrounding area feels quite rough—visible drug use, panhandling, and a homeless individual who regularly sleeps right outside the front entrance (which staff seem to overlook or accept as normal). Staff & Service: The front desk team often appears disengaged, unprofessional, and in a consistently poor mood. Simple requests, like asking for bottled water, are met with unnecessary questioning or reluctance, which feels out of place for a hotel. Overall, the service level aligns more with a budget motel chain than a mid-tier downtown property. The Positives: On the bright side, the guest rooms themselves are consistently clean and well-maintained. Water pressure is strong, and the air conditioning works reliably and effectively—both big pluses, especially in warmer months. Bottom Line: Despite the drawbacks with the neighborhood and staff, this hotel remains one of the stronger (and more practical) options available in downtown Richmond. If you’re prioritizing a clean, functional room in a central location over luxury service or a pristine surrounding area, it’s still a solid choice among limited alternatives.

Oh, I went there stayed for one night the room. The TV did not work. The shower drain was backing up at the top where I had to stop the shower let it drain a little more. There was no personal hygiene in there no soap for the hand sink, mouthwash, anything to top it off. They hit me for $58 for parking overnight. The following day I called spoke with somebody at the front desk. They were kind of rude. Don’t know if I’d visit that one anymore.
