Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and very friendly staff. Breakfast is included in the rate (which is very reasonable in the off-season) and is more than just continental (scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, fruit, yogurt, bagels/bread, juice, etc.)

First time staying at the Hinton Lodge, for a last minute trip. It was a great deal and I had read good reviews, so I decided to try it out. When you stay in Hinton, you can't go wrong with the location. You have access to alot of shopping and food options, where as Jasper is limited. It's only about a 45 minute to Jasper from Hinton, and the time flies by anyways with all of the sights and sounds. Hinton lodge is easy to find on the main road and the parking is ample. The hotel staff upon check in and check out were quite friendly and helpful, which always makes for a pleasant stay. The room I booked was a king size bed suite with jacuzzi tub and fireplace. As outdated as the room is, it was still quite pleasant. The hotel definitely could use a makeover for the rooms. It was spacious, bed was comfortable and the jacuzzi was enjoyable after cleaning it out. The seating infront of the type isn't ideal, having a small table and 2 small chairs. It wasn't comfortable and the TV is quite elevated. You have a sink in the main room, but the cupboards are empty. We got a good sleep with the bed though, it was very comfortable, so no complaints there. I didn't check out the gym on this stay, the hotel tub was closed, but I did go down for the breakfast. The selection was okay, offering eggs, sausages, a pancake/waffle machine, some dry foods, coffee, tea and some juices. I had the sausages and eggs, they were good enough. Overall, for the price I paid and for being in Hinton, it was worth it to try it out once. It's good for those seeking accommodation last minute or who have a smaller budget, but it's definitely worth checking out.

Very pleased and very reasonable cost. Will always stay there. The breakfast was excellent, an actual breakfast not like some hotel/ motels where you only get some bread and juice!
