Location is great! Puts you right in the middle of where you want to be in the colonial zone and is very safe. Room was decent and comfortable. For my English speakers a lot of the hotel staff speak pretty decent English! Was great practicing and learning my Spanish with them. My favorite part though. The breakfast! Usually when I travel I never ever eat hotel breakfast. I always try to venture out and try as many new foods and restaurants as possible to make my trip worth it. But man I ended up eating at the hotel everyday! This breakfast was so wholesome. All the basics served buffet style. The fruit they serve is seriously fresh! Lastly the coffee they serve is beyond great! For any of my travelers from the US I felt very comfortable here.

The hotel facilities are in very good condition, modern, and clean. It's worth noting that the staff is quite friendly, although customer service in the Dominican Republic generally leaves much to be desired. The location is excellent, in the heart of the Colonial Zone and just a few minutes' walk from all the attractions, bars, and restaurants. It's true that the rooms are small; however, if you're staying in Santo Domingo's Colonial Zone, you'll likely be out of the hotel most of the time, so I don't see the room size as a problem. Just as a suggestion, the hotel has a very nice but underutilized terrace. I think they could relocate the restaurant there and even add a bar, and expand the lobby below. It would be a great addition to the hotel.

I must confess I was a little apprehensive after reading the reviews of the hotel and booking; however, my experience was the complete opposite of most of them. From the moment we arrived, the service and friendliness of the staff were outstanding. We were shown to a beautiful room with a balcony, very spacious, spotlessly clean, and immaculate. The bathroom was also a good size and very clean. The elevator is a bit small, but it works well, and there's always the option of taking the stairs. The breakfast impressed us; it's a buffet with a wide variety of delicious food, and the restaurant staff were the friendliest we encountered in the city. The peace and quiet of the room was everything. The hotel is located in a very quiet area. And the accessibility was fantastic; we were able to walk all around the Colonial Zone. It's close to all the area's attractions: the Cathedral, Fort Osama, the Larimar factory, the Chocolate Museum, and much more! We ended the afternoon enjoying the terrace, and its comfort is spectacular. I definitely think we found the gem of this city; I would come back anytime. A huge thank you to the hotel and its staff.
