We celebrated our winter wedding at Hof te Spieringen, and we couldn't have imagined a more beautiful location. Everything exudes ambiance and warmth. The hostess clearly gives 100% to make her venue shine: countless candles inside and out, mood lighting around the grounds, the illuminated Christmas trees... It felt magical from the moment we arrived. Even the practical details were meticulously taken care of. The restrooms were spotless and equipped with fresh towels that refreshed themselves during the ceremony. The fireplace in the venue was kept busy all evening. You can tell that someone here passionately cares for every square meter. An anecdote that says it all about our hostess, Katrien: right after our ceremony, the top button of my wedding suit fell off. I happened to see her lighting candles outside in the corner of my eye and quickly handed her my jacket and the loose button. Ten minutes later, my perfectly mended cardigan was back on my shoulders. No one noticed. That's service you won't find anywhere else. Katrien has a great temperament, and you'll appreciate that when you're showered with compliments the next day about the beautiful, meticulously maintained venue. An absolute must for anyone who wants a unique, warm wedding celebration.

We celebrated our wedding at Hof ter Spieringen and can only describe it as an absolute top-notch venue. From the very first contact, we had a good feeling. The owner, Katrien, is an energetic woman, quicker than her shadow, who knows how to tackle things. She has a clear vision and enjoys sharing her opinions and ideas, which can sometimes come across as a bit forceful, but anyone who knows her a little immediately realizes that everything is done with the best intentions. What makes this estate so special is how stylishly it is decorated according to the season. For our wedding, Katrien even took our color theme into account: colorful flowers were everywhere, even in the restrooms. The attention to detail and eye for beauty are indescribable. The price-quality ratio is also head and shoulders above other venues we've visited. After the party, we were able to stay overnight. The rooms were spotless, and in the morning we were treated to a delicious breakfast. Another big plus: we were allowed to party until 4 a.m., something that's impossible at many venues. The collaboration with the catering company Bizzevents (a venue Katrien recommended) was also fantastic. And as if that wasn't enough, the next morning we noticed that Katrien and the team had neatly loaded all our decorations, materials, and gifts into our van. All we had to do was sit down for breakfast—a true luxury! Katrien, thank you so much. You're a fantastic woman: hardworking, creative, and someone who truly pours her heart and soul into her venue and the people who come to celebrate there. We and our family look back on an unforgettable day and can highly recommend Hof ter Spieringen.

A top-notch wedding location! A beautiful courtyard and garden for taking photos. You'll receive a friendly welcome until the money is in your account. Depending on whether you're an "important client," you'll receive a more or less warm welcome to explore the venue. Everything has to move quickly; in less than fifteen minutes, you're in and out, and all the explanations have been given. This leaves you with only a chance to take a quick look around and not take anything in. Renting the venue isn't cheap at all (so far, that's true), but you still can't do what you want. In very hot temperatures, the caterer requested a tent to provide some shade for the drinks. This was criticized as a major disruption and frightened the important clients who were having brunch there at the time. While we were taking photos, the dog suddenly came running to us, even though she had left us in the garden for the purpose. The result: a dog with dirty paws on the rug... when we ate a sandwich in the afternoon between taking photos, the owner absolutely had to come and light her candles in the hall. We were literally pushed against the table so she could stand on her ladder behind us to light the candles on the fireplace, knowing we were leaving for church half an hour later... During the evening party, she spent the entire time in the kitchen complaining to the staff, so they were more focused on her demands than on the job they were hired to do: organizing a wedding. The result was that their entire schedule went haywire, and at one point, there was no one left to tend the bar. The hall had to be completely empty and tidy by 4:00 AM. The owner knew we would end our party at 3:00 AM. At 2:45 AM, she was back in the hall to blow out all the candles and remove our flower arrangements from the tables where guests were still seated. My son was asleep on some chairs by her fireplace. She almost pulled a chair from under his head (luckily I managed to stop her) so she could use her ladder to blow out the candles on the fireplace. During the party, she also kept closing the back door, which led to a small patio where a bouncy castle for the children was located. This was supposedly to keep the flies out. The result was that it was incredibly hot in the hall. This largely ruined our entire party and left a sour taste in our mouths.
