Dear Corporate IHG Hotels and Resorts, I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding the level of service and cleanliness I experienced during my recent visit to your property. As a director who understands hospitality standards, guest experience, and the importance of service excellence, I feel compelled to share this feedback so it can be addressed appropriately at a corporate level. Upon arrival, my first interaction was with the concierge at the kiosk, identified as Alonzo. Unfortunately, there was no greeting, acknowledgment, or even a smile. First impressions are critical, especially in hospitality, as they set the tone for the entire guest experience. As someone responsible for first impressions in my own professional role, my expectations were understandably high. Regrettably, this initial interaction did not align with the standards I would expect from your brand. Additionally, I would like to address a concerning experience during breakfast at your location. I fully understand that the restaurant was busy; however, being busy should never compromise cleanliness or food safety. When a table became available, the host informed us she would clean it. There was already water spilled on the table, and it appeared that the same water was used to wipe the surface. This immediately raised concerns about hygiene and potential cross-contamination. There was no removal of items from the table, nor was the entire surface properly cleaned. I was then told that I could place my plates on the table. Due to my concerns, I declined and requested that the table be cleaned thoroughly. Another staff member was asked to assist however, the table was again inadequately cleaned, with visible syrup still remaining. When cleaning a table, all items should be removed and the entire surface properly sanitized not partially wiped. This experience was not only unpleasant but also unsanitary and unacceptable in a dining environment. I normally take pride in leaving positive reviews and supporting businesses that deliver quality service. It is disappointing that this visit did not meet those expectations. I am unsure whether this message will be reviewed, but I am hopeful that corporate leadership takes guest feedback seriously. At this time, I would appreciate clarification on your service recovery process. Specifically, I would like to know: What service recovery, if any, you offer to acknowledge and make up for this experience Service recovery is an essential part of guest satisfaction, and understanding how your organization responds when standards are not met would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to review my concerns. I hope this feedback leads to improved training, stronger service standards, and a better experience for future guests.

I stayed here with my family on Christmas Eve. It was nice because it was located in the city center, but like other hotels, parking was expensive, so we had to park in another building, which was quite inconvenient. The staff were friendly, but breakfast was completely absent. The next day, we had to pay for it in the hotel lobby. Of course, it wasn't free, but if they had provided a notice about it, we would have enjoyed it. If they had improved that, I would have visited again. It was Christmas Day, so finding a place to eat breakfast was difficult because there wasn't anywhere open downtown.
