Cons: Receptionist would not allow me to check in without taking my phone number, email and a copy of my bank card, despite the room being fully paid in advance. She then signed me up for marketing emails. I booked a standard but they ran out and put me in a twin. The room was not clean. The sink was dirty and a used razor had been left in the shower. The water glasses are stored in the bathroom. Pros: The windows open. Comfortable bed Staff at breakfast were friendly.

Service: Very good. Reception people are very nice and helpful. Cannot say anything negative about them. Room: Diirty sheets and especially dirty the windows. They have not been cleaned in weeks for sure. Romms are spacious but outdated. It's really close to a train station and windows are definitely not soundproof. Really annoying at night. Also, I could hear people from another room banging on the walls, it was really bad. Heating is atrocious. It's centralised so you can't choose your temperature. It was freezing in my room. Reception offered a portable electric heater but even wirh this on on max power, the room was still not warm enough. The building itself is nothing like in the online picture. It's much older with paint going off, you can see from the first minute that the building is not taken care of. It's basically at the corner of murder street and rape avenue.

Dude, this was hands-down the most peaceful stay of my life. Not a single door slamming or horn blaring. Mainly because I was in my house in Birmingham. I'd love to say the room was great, the staff fabulous and it was a great stay, but again, I wouldn't know. Booked, didn't need it anymore, called, cancelled. Thought it was that simple, but hey ho. Got charged £111 and told it wasn't cancelled, and unless I can give them the name of the lady I called and spoke to, tough tiddaysssss. I get there's policies, and they have no proof I cancelled, but when I called weeks prior and told all was good, I didn't think I needed the ladies name, date of birth, national insurance number, passport and home address to prove it. Losing £111 and being told Soz dude really sucks, but the real kick in the teeth was being asked to leave a review of my stay! If I'd have known, I'd have rocked up for my hotel breakfast! £111 for some sausage and hashbrowns would be pretty steep, but I'd have taken it. It ain't all a 1 star review though, the audacity of the hotel is definitely a 5 star rating! Hope the hotel appreciates the review they requested. Have a nice day!
