Holiday Inn Manassas - Battlefield by IHG

Never stay at this hotel. Ever. The prices are outrageous, and they even charge extra for breakfast despite the already high room rate. This is a total rip-off. Avoid this place completely.

I am extremely disappointed with how this hotel handled a large group booking for a sports event on December 13–14. I personally paid for 19 rooms on my credit card for coaches and referees, based on a verbal group-rate discussion with hotel management. Her name is Vinnay Patel. No written contract was offered at the time, and I relied on the hotel’s assurances while finalizing attendance numbers. After the stay, I discovered that guests were charged significantly higher rates, and the hotel refused to review or adjust the charges after checkout. Corporate customer service ultimately deferred the matter back to hotel management, who declined any responsibility. To provide context, I recently held a similar event using The Westin Washington Dulles Hotel. I personally booked only 10 rooms under my credit card, yet over 100 athletes and parents stayed at the hotel under a clearly communicated discounted group rate, and everyone was very satisfied with the process and transparency. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for Holiday Inn Battlefield Manassas. The lack of clarity, accountability, and post-stay support made this a very frustrating and disappointing experience. Warning to future group organizers: do not rely on verbal agreements here. Get everything in writing, or you may face unexpected charges with no resolution afterward. I will not be using this property again for group events.

The hotel is exactly as some other reviews, old needs updating, in an industrial area, mostly workers staying there, sitting right on I66 so very noisy. The carpets in the room are old and need replaced, places on wall "separating" that needs repair. The furniture is possibly 15 years or more old. Yes the TV is a 20 yr old Vizio, 32". The room was clean so that's a plus since it's old and the bathroom was very clean as well. The front desk staff was friendly at check in. The beds are very comfortable and great pillows that's the only reason for the 2 stars. And last but definitely not least, I tried to turn on Foxnews this morning and it was passcode blocked by someone, how rude! I asked the front desk person but he was clueless, very nice but clueless. Is this a Holiday inn policy or the local hotel policy?? I will NEVER stay at a Holiday inn property again just due to this BS move! I'm a gold Hilton member and at last minute had to book and this was the only decent hotel available but never again. Shame on Holiday Inns or whoever chose to due this political BS, that person should be immediately fired!!
